Kon-Tiki

Here is my attempt to do justice to this absolutely best ever Shadows song (at least for me).

For backing I used the Shadows original minus Hank. As for gear, I used Korg Ampworks and the eTap2 Vst plugin. Brason Strat, CS54s, 12-56 Gibson L-5 strings, bridge pickup.

Nice sound Bojan from the eTap 2. I'm presently using the 'delay designer' in my Logic recording programme on the Mac. I allows up to 26 fully editable taps if you want to completely mess up the sound.
I just use four of them and can get an identical sound to all the echo boxes that I have. It's a work in progress . . . . . . 8-)

Thanks Rosemary and Dave !! :)

Dave, as for VST plugins, I am sure that this is one of the directions to go in the future, because with a good soundcard or music interface, you can turn your laptop into a first-class echo machine with all the authentic echo patterns and sounds you need.

Here is a new version in which I re-recorded certain parts and made a remix of the whole sound file . . . I think this sounds slightly more authentic.
