Guitar Instrumental Medley

Postby Rjanuarsa » 08 May 2011, 17:03

Hi All,

Here's a medley...5 tunes at once. All my personal favourites, Apache/Stranger/Ghostriders/Bonanza/Walk Don't Run

I heard this arrangement long time ago from a cassette, I can't remember the name of it. Anyway I hope you enjoy it.

Regards,

Robby

Wow Robby, I am so impressed! You have even naíled the sound of Apache. I see you are using the ESE echo. It sounds great!
Just one thought from me, you might try the middle pickup on the middle bit of The Stranger. I have always thought Hank was switching to the middle pickup on that part.
Anyway, this sounds fantastic, as always.

Geat Medley Robby - Nice vintage sound - I like Bonanza I remember buying the sheet music for that one when I was a kid.
Really well played as always.
Cheers Phil

Super Robby... I notice that you have the timing thing that Hank does on his phrasing totally nailed... On some passages you slow down the melody very slightly to pull out certain notes and passages. It is really lovely...

Best

Tony.

Hi Kurt,

Thanks so much for your encouragement. :)

Yes, it's the ESE Echomatic VI, the selectable heads are very helpful to get the Echomatic 1 pattern (Apache, Stranger, Frightened City etc) which I can't get from my Long Tom :)

You are right indeed, the middle pickup on the middle bit of "The Stranger", I just listened to the original again, it does sound mellow. Thanks for the tip!

Thanks so much Roger(Bayliss and Allcock) :D

Thanks Phil,

Bonanza is such a great tune to play. Very much those Western sounds.

Thans Stu,
Glad you enjoyed it!

Hi Tony,

Thanks so much for your encouragement. Hank does some magic on his guitar works, it is very helpful that we now have access to many of the old Shads videos on youtube, so that we can have some good ideas on some of his techniques which I think the most important ingredient for Shadows music.
Thanks again for watching

Regards to all and G'day,

Robby
