Yes I believe Wout was originaly from the Netherlands, but settled in England (Margate I think). Played lap steel and recorded his stuff in his own home studio. He was a regular on the old radio programme Easy Beat on Sunday mornings.( more moons ago than I care to think about  )

That's a blast from the past - back in my early teens sometime last century I used to visit a bloke who had two (I think Revox or could have been B&O) reel to reel tape recorders and we used to multi-track & record tunes based upon Wout's style and material of that time. Some tracks we'd record and speed up the lead parts to double or greater speed in the style of Les & Mary Paul and the end results were quite impressive - at least they seemed to us to be back then. :P

Regarding this tune, Charles, I really like its simplicity and laid back style. Lovely clean and warm tones from your strat, too - what's the setup?
At first seeming so simple with the basic chords but it kind of grows on you and I now find myself humming the main tune all the time. I also think it would sound great on a lap-steel.

Cheers,
