Sabor A Nada

Postby Marcelo » 19 Sep 2011, 01:05

Hello friends!

Here’s my arrangement and rendition about a 60’s argentinian classic componed and sung by one of our more popular artists called Palito Ortega.

Backing track belongs to me playing all instruments except percusions which were played by Ricardo Bianchi using a Roland Octapad. Final mix belongs to Ricardo Bianchi and me.

The guitar is a Burns Marvin and the midi guitar is a Godin Lgxt model played with a Roland GR-33 MIDI module. The amp Simulator belongs from Pod Line 6 XT. The echo device was Yamaha Magicstomp with a patch made by me.

This is the link:

Please, give it a listen.

Thanks and regards,
Marcelo.

Hi Marcelo,

The backing was excellent and the Burns has just the right sound for this sleepy ballad - it set the mood extremely well.
Very nicely done.

Cheers,
Martyn

Hi Marcello, always one of my favourite guitarists. Good work and pro production with the midi guitar placement. Which POD amp modeler you using?

I think that any non gigging guitarist should be using POD instead of forking out a fortune on AC30's and the like. After all Line 6 serves most of the pro bands with equipment.

Hello Bri!

Sincerely thanks and feel honoured about your words, wow!
The Pod I'm using is a Line 6 XT. There are also special non colour tone amps (with valves) to use together with these Pods for those who gig called Atomic amps.

Yesterday I discovered there is a new desktop model called Line 6 POD HD Desktop that emulates, between others (also boutique amps), the VOX AC15 and AC30 Top Boost. Here is the link if you want to give it a look:

Thanks again!

Marcelo.

Marcello, I regularly listen & d/load your files. They lay amongst the likes of Piet Korving, Coot, Angies Spiral and a few others. They're on my mp3 player and they drfit me off to sleep in a pleasant manner. ;)

I also have the got the red bean, POD XT, which is usually through one of POD's flat response amps (pre-amp) for later PC enhancement.

So again Marcello, I may not remark very much but I'm very much aware of what's being posted.
