I gave it up!

Hello again Boys and Girls! 
I’m a stubborn man ( that’s maybe the reason I’m not producing that much on this site…) , now been struggling for months for producing a complete private recording of ”The Beauty and The Beast”…but I think I have to give it up…

I made the BT myself from an old midi file – and I think it’s OK, so far…

But – when trying to play the guitar lead I have to admit I’m not good enough at all. I want to play it more legato – but I just can’t :? .... (Maybe I’m already a too old man, with too stiff fingers…)

Anyhow I’m posting my own version of “The Beauty and The Beast” and also my BT.

I will be happy if somebody of you can make some more nice and interesting version from this Mp3-BT.
BT is free for use to anybody. If somebody wants it in wave-format, I can send it.

The keys changes are: F major → D major → G major → E major.

Sorry Plinky - I have to say this, whether you like it or not - but I think this is a very good Sound File!!
I think you should re-post it or at least give it its true name so folks can see it and comment on it.
Its played with expression and feel. You clearly enjoy the melody and the feeling in the music and that is all we can ask of ourselves unless we are churning it out by the bucketload for Money.
What I DO notice is that you are playing it quite "hard" at times - like the early Shads stuff where Hank plecks down very firmly on the strings maybe to get more volume or with sheer exuberance. You dont need to do that. You know the tune - let the flow smooth your playing. If you are short of volume on the track afterwards give it a 3db boost or whatever. If you are using compression, then back it off a little as well, that helps "expression" to come out - that rise and fall of tone and volume as you "read into" the music.
Enough said - dont run yourself down - its a good 'un.
cheers

I think that Stratpicker has expressed most of my feelings regarding this soundfile.
You've managed to put a great deal of feeling into your playing and I think that you are being unjustly critical.

Thank you Stratpicker and Rogera :-)
I'm greatful for your good and serious advices and comments. Maybe I have to calm down a little... ;-)
You're right in comments - and I think I'm also struggling more with computer than guitar :-)

So - I will go on fighting this recording once again then, and try to follow your advices. Anyhow I also look forward sombody else maybe
will use that BT. Thanks again and
Regards
