What does the team think of the tone ?
It's different to a flat top acoustic, almost percussive and you begin to understand why it worked so well in the 20s and 30s, it would cut though better.
I wore shorts for the Hankies Christmas do, I had my wife put a white fur fabric on them.
Where I've moved to I don't want them to think I'm an idiot .......... yet.

I don't think anybody noticed the harmonics Rob.
It took me years to find out how Chet Atkins did these great cascading runs of harmonics. It was on a Lenny Breau DVD that the penny finally dropped.
Even now I can only do them at half speed compared to Chet and Lenny Breau.
Cheers,

Very nice balanced tone Eric albeit I heard it on my laptop speakers. The harmonic method I think came from classical guitar playing originally ?

I don't know of its origins, I'd never heard it done until Chet Atkins.
Artificial harmonics are as old as the hills but something was added to the process.
Firstly, pick an interesting chord, 6th add 9th or something. Generate a harmonic, say on the 6th string using thumb and first finger and then pick 2 strings up with middle or 3rd finger. Repeat this with a harmonic on the 5th string etc until you run out of strings .
Having said that, Chet does more that I haven't yet twigged, either that or he has a guitar with 29 strings. Huge cascading runs at lightning speed.
