Gypsies Tramps and Thieves. Video

Postby Phil McGarrick » 29 Jul 2012, 18:00

My Instrumental version of Cher's first single from 1971. It's also on her 7th solo album called "Cher".
The BT was from Jeff Daniels here :- http://www.backingtracks.co.uk/Backing- ... nd-Thieves

A live recording using my Alan Brason Strat Kinman HMS pickups, Alesis Q2 with EFTP patch 0-36. Boss CS-2 Compressor Sustainer. The Solo and onwards I added overdrive using my Boss SD-1 pedal. The sound recorded on my laptop directly into cubase via PreSonus Audio USB.

The video was made using 3x Sony SR12 HD cam corders simultaneously and edited in Sony Vegas 9 where the sound recorded in cubase was synchronised with the video's.

Hope you like my version of Gypsies Tramps & Thieves.

Cheers Phil

I enjoyed that Phil. Usual high standard of playing with a lovely feel for the tune.

Thanks for posting.

Cheers, Alan.

Just shows the versatility of a good old Strat! Lovely sound with plenty of energy making this a great driving instrumental. Loved it.
