Tolo - Theme for Young Lovers

Postby tolo » 23 Sep 2012, 13:31

Hello all,

A departure from the original stuff for me - dangerous ground... :o This is my way of a 'thank you' to Bruce for everything really. I know he has my record - so I hope he would approve of this arrangment...

This is a perilous thing to do but I have changed the arrangment a little and given it a Tolo stamp! I really hope you enjoy it and see the tribute - but also that you forgive me if you don't!!

One of my favourite ever Shadows tracks...

Best to all,

Tony

Dave, John, Phil, Roger - thanks for that. I thought I was going to get shot!

Link - from now - is a new remix - with better tempo control and instrument balance (I feel) - as well as a general clean up of stuff that didn't need to be there...

Thanks again for listening and for your feedback...

Best,

Tony

Dear Tony: Thank you for sharing your song with us. I really enjoyed it. I think it is very impressive that you were able to create a new arrangement of the song, yet still keep its original melody where it is instantly recognisable. You are a very talented musician and arranger.

Kind regards,
Donna

Absolutely excellent Tunna.
But miles too short by your standards, I had to play it twice on the trot to feel more at home.
It also wanted an Eccamatic.
And I thought the guitar wanted bringing forward a little....
Great stuff.
Ecca.

Donna - thank you for your very kind words... It was just a bit of fun really but touching something like this can lead to revolt...and summary execution :? Glad you liked it though.

Ecca - agreed and done. Listen to the new mix - link above - more lead guitar (is it better?) and I took the opportunity to do a bit of panning work on the slide guitar that I was too lazy about before (see if you can notice it!)...

Acc guitar re EQ'd too.

Thanks again folks,

Tony

Thanks everyone...

Here is a new link. I have speeded it up a little (by 3bpm) - I intentionally recorded it slower but think it skips better at this pace...

Also another little dust on the remix from for the Intro and middle 8

And to think it was just a bit of fun!!
