I'm new here.

I live in the Netherlands.

A few weeks ago i build a etap2hw from echotapper.
My bcd switch is a little bit different vs the original, this is the one which Newtone send to me.

0= meazzi f1 classic
1= meazzi 2 bank
2= meazzi f1 special
3= vox long tom
4= meazzi 2 classic
5= roland model 301
6= reverb or tremolo
7= meazzi 1 j classic

It's a very nice echo.

But i have a little bit trouble with finding the right settings for the Shadows numbers.

Has anyone some tips?

Thnx for response

Hi Richard, those look a little different to the one that I have borrowed from Ecca, if you go back along this thread Ecca posted the document for everyone to see. Here is the link. download/file.php?id=3186

Richard, these are all one position out. i.e. Your number 7 should be number 1, your number 0 should be number 1 etc.

Thnx Dave,

Ecca, i know it's different.
When i order the kit by Newtone, they send me an other bcd switch . This was told by the pre-order.

It's no problem, i checked all positions of the switch.

I changed the sequence to my position switch at Ecca's list.

I will try it tomorrow.

Thnx again.

I too had the Newtone BCD switch when I first made one of Piet's kits.
It was a rotary type switch, a Hexadecimal type which meant it had 16 positions.
Of these 16 positions only 8 were used so the switch only rotated half way round.
I felt this was imprecise so I used a thumbwheel, this too was a hex switch but it didn't matter because
it was absolutely clear what position it was in.

| used a rotary BCD switch on mine from RS in the UK(http://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/products/655-3235/ ). It has an adjustable stop so it can be set to use just 8 positions.

This table is on the echotapper site already.
The 'e' is the supply.

Correct Ecca,

I,ve made this table for myself because the " newtone" switch makes other connections as you can see.

I play with the setting meazzi echomatic II classic Pot 0 on 6. Pot 1 on 5. Pot 2 on 0 for the stranger it's not perfect but i little start.

My Eccamatic arrived today, so really looking forward to giving it a turn :thumbup: so a big thanks to Piet for the project and to Ecca for his expertise in building the project for me. :thumbup:

Love it, just one question though, when the On/Off input is fully on (all the way clockwise), there is no evidence of clipping, should there be something in front of the unit (a pre amp for example)?
