Not quite as nice as The Shadows Reunion.

Dear John: I am sure you are just joking and that I should stop acting like an old lady and learn how to roll with the punches. So please forgive me if I am over-reacting. But my nightly YouTube surfing, plus participating in this Forum, are my only outlets after spending several hours each day in a room with a guitar, an amp, and lots of books -- little of which makes any sense to me. I've never met anyone who even knows who Hank Marvin is...let alone someone who can teach me some of his techniques...so I am completely on my own. I can play a lot more Shadows tunes than people might think, it's just that I don't play them very well so I am not going to post them. The lack of an echo unit and/or stomp boxes makes a big difference, and I am not one to record a song and then enhance it afterwards. I think I have learned a couple of years worth of background in the last several months, so I am doing the best I can. Last year, I didn't even know how to visually identify a Fender from a Gibson guitar, so I've come a long way.

Seriously, are you learning chords as well as trying single string melody playing?

Do not put yourself down, Donna, you do play guitar very well, the tracks that you sent me were very good and the choice of tunes were a challenge to me with my humble attempts.
After all these months trying I can still only add two more tracks to my list of tunes, however I still suffer the allergy of microphones and cameras.
Who knows what will happen if I play again on a stage in front of people other than family
(who by genetics are only allowed to say..."that was nice,..... what one was it?")

John, thank you as well. I am going to try to play C'Mon Everybody on my acoustic guitar. It seems to have only three chords - E, A, and either B or B7, depending on which transcription I look at. I will enjoy that more than the chord charts I've been using.

Jay, thanks a lot for telling me that. I'd completely forgotten about the key. The printout from Ultimate Guitar does specify Eddie Cochran but in my head I was imagining Cliff singing it from 2009. I hadn't played along with any recordings yet, but since I was "thinking Cliff" that explains why the E A B didn't sound quite right. I should learn D G A. Thank you again, Jay.
