Thanks Bojan.
Guitar into Magicstomp and then into a PodXT pro using an AC15 amp simulator setting, out of that into Cubase. I'm pretty sure I didn't use any post EQ for the guitar.

According to my sheet music (Transcription by Steve Gibb) the copyright on The Savage is held by EMI Music so where do Warner/Chappell come into it?

The original publisher (as named on the Columbia 45) was Harms-Witmark. They were the house-publishers for the Associated-British Picture Company (related to ABC cinemas and ABC Television).

EMI eventually bought ABPC (hence their name on some reissue sheet music), but divested themselves of movie interests some time ago. ABC back-catalogue is now owned by the French Canal + company, but the Harms-Witmark back catalogue may have passed into the hands of Warner-Chappell. It could have been worse.
