OK... just finished watching episode 1 on iPlayer.
As George says, the characters include a
Jim Burns (well, several of them), a
Gibson and a
Ned Callan. The police operation is called "
Music man" and a firm of solicitors (or even "solictors") by the name of "
Bacon & Day" is mentioned.
But the guitar references don't stop there.
An early victim's surname is
Kay, but in the first episode, there are also characters by the names of
McSwain,
Spector,
Ferrington,
Tyler,
McElroy,
Monroe,
Jennings,
Martin,
Breedlove and
Olson (that character's first name is James, by the way).
In the subsequent episodes (as far as number 4), there are additional characters called
McInturff,
Angelica (as a first name),
Schwartz, Professor
Reed Smith,
Rossmeisl (as in Roger Rossmeisl, who worked for Roger, Rickenbacker and Fender),
Eastwood,
Klira,
McCurdy,
Nash,
Brawley,
Chandler,
Dean and
Stagg.
