Rare instrumental guitar books with backing tracks and tabs

Postby Ryan » 09 Aug 2014, 20:04

Hi all,
Just thought i'd post to let people know of 4 instrumental guitar books, with complete backing tracks and tabs, i brought a couple of years ago. At the time i brought these, i was told they were not available from the UK, and i had to order them from Amazon to come from the US, not sure if this has changed since.
They are: Hal Leonard Guitar Playalong The Ventures vol 116, Hal Leonard Guitar Playalong Early Rock Instrumentals vol 92, Hal Leonard Guitar Play Along Surf vol 23, Hal Leonard Guitar Playalong TV Themes vol 45.
All of these have full backing tracks, of which i consider, good quality, and full tab, for those who want to use it. Hope this would be of some use to someone if you didn't already know about them.

I have just obtained the Ventures Book and CD via Amazon.
The Tabs/ Music Notation /Chords all easy to read and accurate and certainly expand,
particularly if you already worked out some of the numbers on a rough tab.
Good Full demonstrations and backings on the CD that comes inside the book
Anyway UB Nokie Edwards, Gerry Mcghee, Bob Spalding, and not forgetting,
Tiki Tiki San Don Wilson!!!!

If anyone is after a different version of Apache, there is 1 by Jorgen Ingmann & His Guitar on the Hal Leonard guitar playalong 'Early Rock Instrumentals vol. 92'. This has full backing tracks and tab if you use it. Other songs on it are: Guitar Boogie Shuffle by The Virtues, Raunchy by Bill Justis, Rawhide by Link Wray, Rebel Rouser by Duane Eddy, Sleepwalk by Santo & Johnny, Telstar by The Tornados and Tequila by The Champs. These come with demo track as well in case you are unfamiliar with the song, they are also great to listen to in their own right. The other volumes are vol 23, vol 45, and vol 116, which i mentioned earlier on this thread.
If anyone struggles to find out what is on each of these, i will be happy to list them for you, just let me know.
