THE MAGIC WALTZ

Postby Stratpicker » 10 Sep 2014, 19:56

Many years ago (2003-4) when I was just starting to play again, I heard this tune on the old SM site. Those were the days of 1mb max uploads. The Player was Ernie Lamprell although it wasn't on his “Strat Trax” 1 or 2 CDs.
Anyhoo – its one of those pretty little tunes that gets stuck in your brain (mine anyway) and I've played it on and off at home since then.
So, in the absence of any commercial BT, I knocked up a simple one in Band In A Box to accompany myself and here is the result.
I hope that you enjoy.
Neck pickup on the Brason Strat, Q2 patch 30, Korg Ampworks on AC30 twin cab, setting, straight to PC and Guitar Pro 2.

Off to The Colonies (Florida Keys) on Saturday for three whole weeks on the Gulf. Bliss!

Hi Ian - It's a smashing tune and you have played it perfectly and those Kinman's sound great.
The BT sounds very professional you certainly know how to get the best out of Band in the Box.!
Have a great holiday - hope the WI-FI will work ok.Lol

Hi Phil - thank you for the kind comment - always appreciated. Ooops- forgot to mention the Kinman FVs! Nice to use the neck pickup now and then. Bags of Mid, halfway plus a bit on the Treble and Bass set at midpoint on the AC30 Korg modeller.
Wifi? Well I know that the wifi there works on my B-I-Ls ipad. We have Toshiba android powered tablets and between you and me (And the rest of the Forum  ) they are not up to the job in comparison.
Hi Keith - thanks for listening, mate. Looking forward to this holiday.
cheers

Hi Peter
Happy New Year!
Thank you for your kind comments. Very much appreciated.
The tune was composed by Ernie Lamprell (an SM member).
The BT was made by me in Band In A Box because one did not exist.
I hope this helps.
If you need any more info, please PM me.
Cheers
Ian
Hope you have a great 2016.
