That's a great find, Chris!
Sounds like roto toms on some of those fills... and indeed it sounds like Mr Bennett on drums!
I don't know about you, but I regularly search for and listen to the stacks of kpm/library music etc.. on You Tube, and look out for the latest uploads, in particular Alan and Brian's work.
Among my favourites are tracks by Alan and Brian from that period as a duo... I'm thinking of tracks such as 'Name Of The Game', 'Oddball', 'Mile High Swinger' etc..
Superb!

Agreed.

Alan and Brian were 'kings' of library music during the 1970s and it's no surprise that their music is very highly regarded and turns up everywhere!!!

I am reliably informed that there will be a KPM all-stars concert in London in December (probably the 7th). I was at the last one and, according to Alan, this one will be 'bigger and better'. I hope to be there and, on the strength of the last one, I can heartily recommend it!

See ya!!

Recently picked up a Des O'Connor album from a few years ago, with all original material by Mr. Hawkshaw & co. This is one even Eric Morecambe would have enjoyed!!

Hmmmmm.....

Well, the drumming on 'Fuel Injection' certainly sounds like Brian to me; it's that tom-tom sound I think that does it. I am also pretty much of the impression that both Brian and Alan tried to use each other on their sessions wherever possible.

Harold Fisher, incidentally, plays drums on The Long Good Friday soundtrack and was the first drummer in the group which eventually became SKY.

Maybe we should ask Brian next time we see him...? !!!

According to Alan H's website....

Ok the new rumour has it that the KPM Allstars gig at The Cadogen Hall will be rescheduled for June 2015. This is due to the promotion window not being long enough! Watch this space...

Unless anyone knows anything more up to date, it seems we have to wait some months.

Yeah, I had heard this or read it somewhere too.

I did actually speak to Alan a few weeks ago, when the gig was still schedued for December, and I asked him if they would be able to get Dave Richmond there this time (he wasn't at the previous one). Alan's reply was 'I hope so'. So, if we're lucky, we might get a bit of 'confunktion'...
