I first heard this around 1961 and it fascinated me......thought I'd give it a go.......link to Chet Atkins as well who did the original...

I heard it back in the sixties too and I love it. Well done mate, a breat of fresh air. :)

Thanks David......tricky one to do getting the echo timing right so that the echo generates the harmony on the runs.....Good fun.....

Hi Paul certainly a higher quality recording than the old Chet one.
I've always liked this song and enjoyed your version.

Thanks Phil......I think it's good to hunt out these older forgotten obscurities from time to time.......there was one called Nola by Judd Proctor that I vaguely remember......not easy if I recall.....will have a look....

Cracking sound file, PAul. Very Chet!
Remember the Hulme Hippodrome and the free tickets you could apply for to the Beeb for the "Pop" shows? Judd Proctor and Woot Steenhuis were regs on the shows. Somewhere I still have the single release of "Nola".
