Hi folks
Flipside of Bluegrass Sausage was this little tune by Norrie Paramour, recorded by The Shads in May 1961 – but not like this!
Having been listening to a lot of Caribbean music whilst on holiday recently I thought “I wonder if - - ?”
And here's the result.
My grateful thanks to Mogens Franklin, a fellow Band In A Box user for allowing me to mess about with and change his BIAB file from his far more sensible posting earlier in the year. All tracks are Real Tracks, not a midi in sight.

Hi Ian - That made me laugh ! so much because this morning I recorded my mate John recording the same song and I've just finished editing the video. What a coincidence !! I love your tongue in cheek take on Peace Pipe - I bet it would go down well where you just had your holiday or Jamaica.. Great fun

Yes, I love to hear this sort of variation, Ian. Interestingly, your phrasing was different to what I was expecting, which made it even more 'different'. Great stuff.

Mikey asks if there are any other Shads numbers that lend themselves to the latin genre. Well, yes, some years ago now, I posted The Savage Samba. I won't hijack Ian's thread by posting it here but I will post it separately.

Another great piece of originality. Well done, and what a coincidence that it should appear on the forum at the same time as the "conventional" version. To me, it demonstrates what a strong melody it is, in that it can be made to work equally well with radically different styles and arrangements.
