Backing all live recording, arrangement based on the Slim Whitman massive hit.....

First recording as well with the original G&L Alnico V pickups back on the guitar.....still settling in after the dismantling etc....

The Matamp version wins by a "Country" mile. Lol
Great sound!
The Yoyo one was too thin.
I remember this tune very well from the 50's - one of Mams faves.
Excellent playing style here.

Thanks Ian......the 2 recordings are different...I set the tone controls at 12.0 clock on the pedal and the Matamp....echo was the same as was the pickup...I used the neck throughout..,,
The Matamp is much fuller I agree...I can make the pedal better by boosting its bass and mid range a bit....I suppose that It does give a valve tone and needs tweaking to get it right ....I did try it with the pedal switched off and it was awful...flat and toneless which is what you would expect....
Upside is that the pedal is an easy bit of kit for setting up.... Will have to experiment further....Cheers, Paul
