a try at the utmost... APACHE

Hi, all,
Here is, by way of introducing the members of our "new old group", an attempt at a tune we had long hesitated to record and post, as it is so emblematic of The Shadows' Music.
With a special thought for those who have passed paway, including of course the late Jerry Lordan, may this pay tribute to our idols, and thank them for the everlasting pleasure they've given us.
Best regards from the 4 of us

Hi Joel, Very good for your 1st attempt posting, balance needs tweaking (Bass) and tone a bit more middle/treble (Lead) Not a criticism. Also spray the guitars 'Fiesta Red' LOL. Well done Keith.

Hi, Keith, thank you for wasting a little time listening!
Actually this isn't our first post! But we have delayed posting this one because of the importance of the subject! ;)
Thanks a lot for the tips about EQ ing, as this is definiteley the rub, as far as Hank's sound is concerned here! I will try more middle/treble (with care!) As for the bass, it is true that the sound is too "wooly" and so drowned into the background. I will try to light it up a bit, if possible.
It isn't that easy, as this record is a single take, through 4 mikes, but with quite a lot of crosstalk, owing to the conditions in the old living-room (!) :D
Anyway, it's great to get some feedback (no sound concerned here! ;) ) from you, as our posts are often read but rarely answered. Thank you for doing so, we will try and improve !
As for the fiesta red colour... I was not using my 1964 "L" series good old friend, that day... ;) I try and avoid using it too often, by taking the blue Mex one!
All the best to you from the 4 of us!
for SaS,
Joel
