Many years back I had an EV. Can't remember the model number but it was Matt grey and took an battery in the shaft. Much preferred to the SM58 I was using previously.

Hi Billy, no, do not have it now. Wish I did, great pickups. I part ex't it for a Sunburst Telecaster in Barrets in Cardiff in 1965. Do not know what year it was, didn' t matter in those days. I still have the Tele which is a 1964, it's been various colours since then. Put some spray on the selector
switch which melted the plastic. Tried taking the cover off front pickup which broke the windings. Put a Gibson PAF on instead because front pickup sounded too muffled, then found out that the original wiring had a cap on neck position. Then chiselled out the body to take a coiled tap humbucker in middle position. If only I knew then what I know now. :o :cry: :o :(

I think your Sonic was 1960 / 61 as it has the maple fingerboard. I stripped my sunburst 1961 Jazzmaster sunburst in 1990 and sprayed it Fiesta Red. I stripped my early 60s Epiphone Rivoli and stained it Green. Silly boy. Never mind not many green ones around

I watched Chas and Dave Christmas Knees up last night. I had seen this a few years back and forgotten that Clapton and Albert Lee played in the pub with them. Particularly unusual was seeing Clapton singing and playing Goodnight Irene.

Watched the Queen concert New Years Eve. Nice BM guitars like the look of the one with the F hole on this thing called love
