The only evidence I'm aware of is that TFYL was recorded on 1st November 1963. There is a photo taken of either that session or another one within days of it with John Rostill outside the studio window, Licorice Locking inside it playing bass on one of his final sessions and Hank Marvin sporting a Burns prototype. It is not unreasonable to suppose that he may have used it on TFYL

Hi Spike,

If you blokes could paint old masters as well you reproduce these old masters, you'd be worth a fortune!!

Hi Spiro and Paul,

I was so impressed and focused on this perfect audio rendering of the original performance that I didn't even there was
a wonderful video running on the background, put together by the skilled Oz team
I am just discovering the level of attention to detail that Paul has achieved through this interpretation on all levels (playing, sound etc...).
All along, I felt I was listening to the original.

Congratulations!

Spike, fantastic. Now please tell me how Paul switches to the bridge pickup so quickly for the outro. A huge problemm for me.

Best,

Hi Andy

Thanks for your contribution...much appreciated.

I cant speak for Paul but when I do it, it comes from a lot of practice.
You need to have the Whammy bar out of the way and give the switch a quick flick down with your little finger.
I have quick reflexes which helps.

Cheers

Fantastic in both the sound and playing departments. My congratulations to all concerned - this has always been my favourite Shads tune and you have certainly done it justice.
