I must say thanks for taking the time and trouble in doing these demos, it is much appreciated.

Ian I have to tell you that to achieve that result I split the track and mixed the intro, middle intro and part of the outro with a 'softer' tone on the EQ, leaving the verses with the harder sounding 'bite' with a lot of compression as the original record. Even then I don't think the tone is as harsh as Hank's on the original. In effect I used two tracks for the lead guitar.
If you want my settings for the MS-100BT just ask. :)

Ah right, I understand. Well that technique certainly works, and the guitar is not at all too harsh. Great sound and the compression was just right.

The reason I used two tracks for the lead guitar is because that's how it sounds the original was done, at one point the guitars overlap on the Shadows version. :)

Clicked the link Dave but it just takes me to my cloud page, only just set it up, probably pressed wrong key somewhere.

That sounds spot on Dave, the 63 strat/AC30 does it for me.

Thanks Keith, it works for me. I'm keen to hear the eTap2hw with the new mod that Ecca is preparing for me. I love what these Zoom units have given us, the G3x is superb and better than anything we've had before of this type and the MS-70CDR and MS-100BT have taken it a step further in sound accuracy with the echoes. If the Hall & Collins can top these I will be buying, but I seriously am wondering if the Zoom people have already brought us the technology that Charlie and John have been working on for so long, after all it's about parameters and editing and it is all there at the fingertips with the Zoom products.

Thanks Paul, I'm seriously thinking I may have saved £600 towards my Gibson Switchmaster and there's the updated chip from eTap that Ecca is sorting out for me which will hopefully achieve similar results on that machine, exciting times. :)
