This is what this little pedal is capable of other than Shads sounds. :)

It was intended to be smooth Paul, I don't like that noise that you described, though it does it perfectly. ;)

Whilst I do like Gary Moore's version, I really like smooth treatments of this one, like Dave's. My own version has no distortion at all, which allows for clean double-stopping in the second verse. Nice one, Dave.

I never mentioned Gary Moore and I love all of his versions. I was referring to your statement about Marshall amplifiers, though I have seen Gary Moore play this number on his Stratocaster, with the tone rolled off, which is where I got it from. :)

I apologise for not making it clear that it was my own version of the tone settings rather than an attempt to clone Gary Moore's original recording, I have seen him many times perform the same tune sounding differently.
I did mention on the Soundcloud description that I used The G7L S-500. The Zoom MS-100BT will do that Marshall sound all day, but as I said, it's not for me. :)

Yes it's a strange one that, I have tried many Marshall amps and never found a sound that I would consider buying one for. I'm a Boogie man myself. To each his own. :)

Just bought a PRS SE 30 combo.....still one or two around at good prices new......pretty good and fine value for money.

Cheers, Paul

I use a Mk3 Simul Class at the moment and have a couple of DC-50s, one of which I lent to my colleague in our band, They sound awesome.
I payed £750 for the first DC-50 back in 2012, but less than twelve months ago saw the other DC-50 for £450 and the MK3 a few weeks apart at the same price on Ebay - it was a no brainer as I used to have a Mk3 back in 1991 and foolishly parted with it because of the need of a Vox AC-30. I have them all now so I am a very happy bunny. I rarely use them in the house though, my AC-4 and VT-30 are great for indoors. The big Voxes and spare DC-5 live in my studio. :)
