sky on the box

I see from the new Radio Times that sky are due to appear on Top of the Pops: 1980 next Thursday. There is, of course, a veritable multitude of connections between sky and the Shadows, some of which you can read about in this article which I shall shamelessly plug.

I saw Sky twice when they toured here in Oz in the late '70's/ early'80's...great talented group.

Having virtually learned guitar by watching the (now) late great Kevin Peek play in local bands here in Adelaide in the mid-late '60's, for me it was great to see that he finally got recognition and success.

He was one of the finest players I ever saw and heard- he could play absolutely anything superbly- rock, classical, country/picking, jazz, pop... as great as Tommy Emmanuel is as a wonderful player, KP was doing it all here in Oz quite a few years before TE fully matured as a player.
