Apache using Hall & Collins

Straight out of the box into the Macbook Pro, Logic software, Vox AC30 amp setting. Excuse the poor playing, it's first thing in the morning and I can't yet feel my fingers.

Can't argue with that! Sounds just the ticket.

Absolutely brilliant Dave, if I can achieve that sound I will be very happy.

Oh! and by the way, there was nothing wrong with the playing.

Let me repeat my response to your other HCSE thread with Apache:

First I listened to the HCSE version and I have to say it is amazingly good !!!

Then I listened to the eTap2HW version, and I have to say it is also amazingly good !!

I think some ears better than mine might detect a major difference but mine didn't, which is not to say that I wouldn't have bought the new HC Echo if I had been able to justify the expense

Thanks for posting Dave. I'm looking forward to more great samples of the Hall & Collins Signature Echo.

Cheers,
Bojan

I have listened to both a few times and I'm not convinced. It is good but it just does not
seem to capture it compared to the eTap2hw version. Its hard to call it either way
I would like to hear more played to compare it with.

And there lay the problem. Some will hear it and some won't. Thankfully I do. :)

Dave, if I may suggest, when you post future samples, give the different echo units an "equal chance" by not revealing the name of the echo but for labeling them for example as Unit A, Unit B, Unit C, etc. so that people could listen and judge with impartiality.

Cheers,
Bojan

I'm not doing anymore Bojan, it's of little consequence as I have made my choice based on what I have heard and I've tried the lot. I just want to play my guitar now. :)
