Just working with Pancho on newbuilds with improved triode behaviour. He mentioned your entry this morning !
I'm impressed by your performance! Agree on a tad more echo but with the halo upgrade you'll get that also.
Seems that my classic design holds-up to what is regarded the litmus tests. We know that exciting improvements on sounds are already there to bring it to a next level. Actually, Pancho is now adding most of Steve's retrofits as an integral part of a new build into his forthcoming machines. (Always nice to mention that to get all of Steve's retrofits in on the old classic board only , after this v2 build, requires additional 4 small capacitors as a real retrofit!)
Also a big thanks for your compliments! Although I did the groundwork in making an affortable device possible, the nice people I've worked with in the initial fase of that eTap2hw project called early adaptors are also debet on this as they acted as the quality and customer satisfaction department! Nowadays, the eTap2hw sage is extended into a very competent group of dedicated engineers and academics making my eTap2hw becoming a core product for real amazing developments surpassing what I could have achieved by (s)Miles! It only gets better!!!!!
It is great and a privilege to be part of this community of 'open source' , 'labour of love' and 'material cost only' !

Thanks for commenting Piet.
For Kon Tiki I used the Echomatic II bank setting, in other words, PROGRAM 3, and I though this program required the LEVEL knob to be on 5 . . . So, when you say "a tad more echo," do you mean turning the LEVEL knob to let's say 6 or 7, or do you mean adding more REPEAT.
I'm very interested in the retrofits, the improved triode and halo upgrades, but since I am not very handy with the soldering iron, I doubt I will ever be able to build them into my existing eTap2hw . . .
