It certainly is a terrific guitar instrumental and you've made a good job of it.

That echo sounds to me like Charlie Hall's latest unit.

No question about the sound and playing, excellent. The actually song for me though I think is over-written. It takes talent to write all those notes
but how much of it is memorable. Too many continual triplet notes without a break, maybe a key change in the middle would have helped, a complete stop,
or a rhythmic change. Dunno. Shades of 'Kon Tiki" sound. What a massive effort on your part to record all that. rgds Beebs

Now you are confusing me. You are either taking the micky or you don"t actually comprehend music. There's a key change from 'E' to 'G' which is glaringly obvious, as well as several direct stops. The mind boggles.

Sorry I should have said a stop of 1-2 bars with maybe a bass drum or such carrying on alone. If there were key changes I missed them subconsciously on the one listen through. The notes to my ear were written so tightly the changes didn't have the desired effect at the time, which is here's a fresh part now.
Don't take it the wrong way Dave, just how I heard it the first time, which inevitably can be the most crucial sometimes. I think the song is over-written somehow. Rgds Bob

I'm not taking it the wrong way Bob, I'm happy to discuss the tune and pull it to pieces, but there's a glaring key change at the middle eight.
My own opinion is that the tune is twice as long as it needs to be, but that's how it was recorded and how I reproduced the BT. No worries.

Very nice Dave great sound. I hadn't heard the song before but it reminded me of a song on the rapiers album but cant for the life of me remember they title

That's a very clean performance.

Storm Rider is also a standout track on the recent CD by The Dinosaurs, a less Shadowy treatment.

The tune is indeed a bit long for what it is but it's "got something" that a lot of non-hit instros do not have.

There are quite a few good originals on Ricky King CDs. Some a bit schmaltzy, but others much less so...
