These are pretty good...

These are 2 recordings made by a good friend of mine who is sadly quite ill, but he can still cut it with the guitar I think,

He is not a member on here so I asked him if I could put them on here and he didn't mind,

Hope you like them,

Regards,
Jeff

SORRY MY FRIEND HAS ASKED THAT HIS MUSIC BE REMOVED NOW AS HIS HEALTH HAS DETERIORATED

Both very well played. I have always liked both tunes especially Golden St.
Please give your friend my best wishes and hope he recovers soon.

If that's how he plays when he's ill he must be pretty hot when he's well, Jeff. Wish him well from me,

Hi Jeff
Sorry to read that your pal is ill but you can tell him from me also after listening to both
of his sound file postings that he can still cut it when it comes to playing his guitar and
I hope it gives him a bit of happiness.

Care to share with us the name of the Player? :?:
Remarkable attention to detail. Pity the SFs are so low res.

Hi Ian, I wouldn't divulge the name of the player without permission, but I will ask if it's ok....

I think some of the quality is lost when they are uploaded to Soundcloud and I understand the same happens in You Tube,

Jeff

Yeah - thats why I use Box.net. Mind you, if the mp3 was low res (128kps) or less to start with, that isnt going to help on any site.

Listening more closely, the BTs are actual Shads recordings de-Hanked which leave behind a "trace halo of Hank" to follow if necessary and the de-Hanking is also probably the source of the "gargling" in the backings.
Personally I really like the early Shads"tone" on these tracks that you have achieved on what I presume is home studio gear.
cheers
