Many times in idle moments, I've wondered if it would work as an instrumental. But every time I've concluded that it wouldn't, and didn't bother doing it!

It's been announced the album will be called 'Without a word' and is out on June 2nd.
I've seen the track listing and i really don't know. The Doctor Who theme???? Some of the tracks don't sound like they will work but we'll wait till it comes out.

Lol, yes I thought it was a preamble of a mess whereas it could have been quite a strong number.

You mean this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FtBlkEd5MWw
and then there's The Astronauts. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7A4t-_PibNk

I thought both these versions were naff, the Sentinels version appears to be two different tracks in two different styles latched together.... The Astronauts starts of in a much better vein but then veers off into Euro Pop gone badly wrong land. The Shadows would never have made any kind of production like these. The line up of bass, drums, rhythm and lead in the original Shadows style works best- I'm not sure you even need strings added, but certainly not rasping, farting brass stabs that just are not cool.

Yes, but Hank Plays what? So much of the output simply doesn't work. It's obviously very hard to write good material especially instrumentals as you have to come up with a good melody and obviously very few can do it.

Amused to see that on Amazon, the limited edition CD with the signed postcard is CHEAPER than the one without the signed postcard!

There used to be a joke going around about Tom Baker, due to him signing absolutely anything and everything a few years ago... "Rare unsigned copy!"

The album cover has that 'Hank Marvin Guitar Syndicate' feel to it and also in terms of composition/design isn't a million miles away from 'Rock 'n Roll Juvenile'.

With a new producer and a new Doctor Who on the way, maybe they'll use Hank's version next year? It can't be worse than the version that they are currently using.
