Hi Ian

Just back from Vesuvius - it didn't go off, just a few puffs of smoke! I've heard bigger explosions from Bakey

Nicely done  . I'm sure you played this fairly recently at the Hankies. I'll be there on 5th Oct, bring your new BT along and play it live for us.

Phil
(ex-guitar player) - now a ukulele and ukulele bass player!
Update: After 10 years absence, now a born-again Hankie

Hi Ian,

First of all, congratulations on becoming a granddad for the first time. :D I've yet to experience that myself but it's the second time today that I've had friends in that situation with their first grandchild. They tell me it's pretty good.

I have only heard the Jet Harris version of that piece in more recent times. I thought you did a great job with "touching up" the BT and your own performance on this one. I think I also heard Charles in there somewhere. Nice post! :D I enjoyed listening to the piece several times. :D

Cheers,
Len

Congratulations Ian both on becoming a Grandad and for the soundfile.

It's a great tune and the work put in on the BT certainly paid off.

Teriffic Job Ian.!! Sorry I missed this earlier. You have given the song a new lease of life.
I too saw Jet play this one at Shadowmania and I recently uploaded his video to youtube, so the song is fresh in my head.

Love the deep notes you got with help from Salvo, and CC's added harmony guitars are brill too.
Now you're going to be a GRANDAD you're not turning into a BASS player are you ?

CONGRATULATIONS for when the day arrives..

Smashing job.. Phil

Hi Paul (my forever holidaying Bass player), Tony, Risky Phil, Len, Roger A and Phil McG for your kind words.
March 5th is the date - can't wait!
Risky Phil - Yes, I did play it at Hankies but no-one took a blind bit of notice!!! LOL!! I'll play it again on Oct 5th and see if anyone can stay awake!!
Paul - same there - I'll try again on OCtober 25th
My thanks to Salvo for helping with that free VST plug in. It takes any note down by any amount up to qa full octave - clever little thing.
No Phil, I'm not turning into a Bass player! Actually, I've never tried to play a Bass guitar - ever!
cheers
Ian

FOREVER HOLIDAYING???? How dare you? I go to Blackpool for a few days, to visit my Mother and Father, (YES I do have one!), and get accused of being permanently on holiday, when in fact I'm RETIRED! I'm so upset  I won't tell you that the next Congleton meeting is October 30th NOT the 25th. Oh Heck! Now I've told you.
Looking forward to hearing you play that Theme for something or other, so I can get a snooze between the Important bits.

PS. ONLY JOKING.

If you ask me nicely, I'll play George Formby's "Little Stick Of Blackpool Rock" at the next meeting!
If you ask me VERY nicely, I WON'T!
